This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.
The Preliminary Assessment Extent for Namoi extends outside the bioregion boundary. When determining the elements and assets for Namoi PAE, this sliver was omitted from original data obtained from NSW Office of Water and subsequently from the element and asset register. Further data was obtained from the Bureau of Meteorology Water Resource Assessment Team who had collated the dataset from the NSW Office of Water to complement data received through the Water Regulations Category 6 data. This dataset was then standardised to include an element asset class of "Water access right" or "basic water right" to be included in the asset database for Namoi. Copyright remains with the NSW Office of Water.
1 This dataset has been clipped to the PAE sliver to the East of the Namoi Bioregion
2 The dataset was provided to the Water Resource Assessment Team in the Bureau of Meteorology to complement Category 6 data receieved through the water regulations. Category 6 includes Information about water rights, allocations and trades
6a - Water access rights and irrigation rights
6b -Trades or leases of Australian water access entitlements and irrigation rights
6c - Trades of Australian water allocations
6d - Formal announcements of Australian water allocations
6e - Permits to operate or construct a minor storage
6f - Permits to self extract water from a bore
6g - Permits to self extract water from a watercourse
3 Where there was more than one works per licence, an additional column was added. This shows where the share component/ entitlement is double counted as it is matched to each work with the full allocation.
4 An additional column was added VOL_PER_WORKS which divides the allocation component by the number of works to give an allocation per works_for bundled licences.
5 The'VOL_PER_WORKS' column allows you to plot the works with the share component in ArcGIS without double counting the allocation.
6 A glossary of terms used ini the water licensing is included here: http://registers.water.nsw.gov.au/wma/Glossary.jsp
7 cancelled licences have been removed from the final worksheet
