Dataset: Galilee Surface Water Preliminary Assessment Extent (PAE) v02

Description

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent dataset is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset shows the surface water Preliminary Assessment Extent (PAE) for the Galilee subregion. This extent shows the Galilee subregion as well as selected surface water features outside the subregion which are deemed to flow out of coal and coal seem gas tenement areas.

This version of the Galilee PAE (version 2) is revsied from the Lake Eyre Basin Surface water Potential Assessment Extents v01 dataset (GUID: 58be9173-4f37-4a0e-96cd-c35f9ce35e18), Galilee subregion surface water PAE Feature Class. This revision discontinues the Warrego River, to the south of the Galilee subregion, at the Alan Tannock Weir - approximately 5km South of Cunnamulla, QLD. To the west of the Galilee subregion, the Cooper Creek and Diamantina River braided systems are merged across their entire lateral extent to indicate the full potential flow region of surface water.

This PAE does not include springs, bores or groundwater features.
