The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
This is an augmented version of the Avon Wards River Alluvium dataset in that is has appended to it Karuah River alluvium polygons extracted from the 1:100K geology. This dataset also serves as the Alluvial Groundwater model extent for the Gloucester subregion.
This dataset also serves as the Alluvial Groundwater model extent for the Gloucester subregion.
Selected Alluvium polygons from the Dungog 1:100K Geology (see lineage) were appended to the source Avon Wards River Alluvium data.
Polygons were selected from the Geology layer as follows. First a spatial selection of polygons that intersected with the Gloucester PAE. From these, polygons where 'DomLith' = "alluvium" subselected.
The resultant combined data was exported to a new shapefile in the MGA zone 56 projection.
All processing was done in ArcGIS 10.2
