This dataset is a GIS layer that represents all sites of historic, social, and aesthetic significance sites within the Southern CRA region that were selected for targeted investigation . Sites were then field investigated by heritage consultants, based on their potential historic, social or aesthetic significance. These sites were then entered into the NSW State Heritage Inventory database, and annotated onto topographic maps for digitising. Based on detailed reports from the heritage consultant field investigations, the CHWG assessed sites using a significance and threat matrix. Sites considered to be over the signficance and vulnerability threshold (and where found to be on public land) were entered into the non Indigenous Cultural Heritage Cplan layer.
This is an archived dataset jointly owned by the Commonwealth Government and NSW Governments under the NSW Regional Forest Agreements (RFA) Data Agreement of 31 March 2000.This data is publicly available under a licence agreement and may be obtained from the New South Wales Government.
