The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
The dataset consists of three shapefiles representing the subregion boundary. They are different representations of the boundary of the Southern Sydney Basin bioregion extracted from the dataset Bioregional Assessment areas v06. SSB_Subregion_geo.shp is in geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), SSB_Subregion_wgs84.shp is the data projected into the Albers Australia projection and SSB_Subregion_line.shp is a polyline version in geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) used for mapping purposes. This bioregion has no subregions.
Used for report maps and extracting/clipping other data to the SSB bioregion extent.
The SSB polygon was selected from the input source dataset and exported as a separate standalone shapefile. This was converted to a polyline shapefile. The extracted polygon shapefile was also projected to the Albers projection.
