The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from tabulated surface water data provided by the NSW Office of Water. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
It provides the geographical location of surface water licences within the Namoi subregion of the Northern Inland Catchments Bioregion. It is in a shapefile format and includes description on the purpose, volume and water source of each licence.
To estimate locations and, purpose, water source and volumes associated with surface water licences.
The dataset was created by using tabulated coordinates of the surface water licence which were further displayed in Arc Map. The bioregion boundaries shapefile was used to intersect the licences locations which were thereafter exported into a shapefile.
