Dataset: Topography - South Australia - PED

Description

Abstract

This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.

Data layer includes polygons and lines that represent the State mainland, islands and adjacent ocean. The Coastline is an interpretation of the mean high water mark for the state. The 2004 GeoScience Australia GeoData Coast 100k has been used to define all state borders. The Ocean extent is arbitrary and does not define State Waters.

Purpose

Can be used for general mapping purposes.

Dataset History

The layer has been compiled from the State coastline recaptured in 2005, together with State borders based upon the standard map grid and DCDB county layers.
