The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
This shapefile shows the extent of the alluvial aquifer (including colluvium) within the Lockyer Valley.
The shapefile is derived from Qld 1:100000 map sheets from the Geological Survey of Queensland (see lineage). The polygons for the alluvium and colluvium were extracted from the Qld surface geological map sheet in ArcGIS and then combined into a new shapefile. All polygons were dissolved to create a boundary extent.
