The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from a national landuse database. The parent dataset(s) is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
The land use spatial data layer is a 50m raster dataset collated as part of the Australian Collaborative Land Use and Management Program (ACLUMP), and represents the land use as of March 2010. This has further been edited with ABS meshblocks, native and plantation forest data (BRS, 2007), and land tenure data (BRS 2007). A total of 49 land use classifications were adopted in this study.
This dataset has been clipped to the Gippsland Regional Model extent.
Land use data was created from the catchment scale land use mapping for Australia undertaken by ABARE and BRS (March 2010). Additional information has been used to further refine and categorise land use for use in this work.
The parent dataset (Catchment-scale Land Use Management (CLUM)) has been clipped to the Gippsland Regional Model extent boundary (8e56c1ca-3fe9-4eb6-9ac0-75ba3f4058f8)
