Dataset: Deuterium in groundwater of the Pilliga Sandstone aquifer in the Coonamble Embayment, Central West

Description

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from Deuterium levels in groundwater of flowing artesian water bores in the Pilliga sandstone, GAB, 2000. The source dataset is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

An interpolated surface, and contours derived from the surface, of deuterium in groundwater of the Pilliga Sandstone aquifer (GAB) in the Coonamble Embayment, which incorporates the Central West subregion. Deuterium is measured in the units: δ2H 0/00.

Dataset History

Surface interpolated from the original point data of the Radke 2000 GAB Hydrochemistry report (Radke BM, Ferguson J, Cresswell RG, Ransley TR and Habermehl MA (2000) Hydrochemistry and implied hydrodynamics of the Cadna-owie - Hooray Aquifer, Great Artesian Basin, Bureau of Rural Sciences, Canberra). Contours derived from the interpolated surface.
