This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
This dataset shows the hydrogeological formation subcrop extents for the Clematis Group, Bandanna Formation (upper Permian coal measures) and Joe Joe Group formations of the Galilee subregion.
To determine the subcrop extent for the Galilee hydrogeological formations, the top extent layers for the Moolayember Formation, Clematis Group, Rewan Formation, Bandanna Formation and Joe Joe Group, from the Galilee geological model 25-05-15 dataset (GUID: bd1c35a0-52c4-421b-ac7d-651556670eb9) were arranged in stratigraphic order (as listed) in ArcMap. The top of formation extent for Clematis Group, Bandanna Formation (upper Permian coal measures) and Joe Joe Group exposed to the east or south of the Moolayember top of formation extent is taken as the subcrop extent for each formation. This extent was traced and exported to form this dataset.
