Description

Quarterly regional personal insolvency statistics for Australian Capital Territory.

From the September quarter 2017, geographic coding of personal insolvency statistics follows a new method. This change is a break in series for our statistical publications.

Notes about the data:

  1. Regional personal insolvency activity statistics are reported based on the number of debtors.

  2. Greater Capital City Statistical Areas (GCCSAs) and Statistical Area Level 3 (SA3) are part of the ABS geographical framework, the Australian Standard Geographical Standard (ASGS). For further information, see www.abs.gov.au.

  3. We used ‘Unknown’ as the code for 'Other (not in ASGS)' for each state and territory. Please note that this represents the number of debtors who: a) have no fixed address, b) have not lodged a statement of affairs, or c) reported an overseas address.

  4. State totals include 'Other (not in ASGS)'

  5. NULL cells represent data that have been suppressed. AFSA suppressed the data for regions with small numbers of individuals to protect the privacy and confidentiality of insolvent debtors.
